Cosmetics Ingredients
When listing cosmetics on TuttiReal, we expect all sellers to comply with the laws and regulations that apply to these items. In addition to those regulations, TuttiReal prohibits cosmetics which contain any amount of the following ingredients.
Cosmetics are generally defined as any item intended to be applied to the body for cleansing, beautifying or altering the appearance, including, but not limited to, makeup, creams, lotions, cleansing products, shampoo, conditioner, hair color, and perfume. This is not an exhaustive list and is subject to change at any time:
- Azelaic Acid
- Black henna
- Bithionol
- Careprost
- Chlorofluorocarbon propellants
- Chloroform
- Clobetasol/Clobetasol propionate
- DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide)

- Hydroquinone
- Halogenated salicylanilides (di-, tri-, metabromsalan and tetrachlorosalicylanilide)
- Henna, mehndi, in products intended to be used on the lips or around the eyes (eg. lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow/brows)
- Hexachlorophene
- Kohl
- Injectable skin products, including fillers and skin lighteners
- Mercury compounds
- Methylene chloride
- Mequinol
- Microbeads
- Prohibited cattle materials; read more from the US Food and Drug Administration
- Tretinoin
- Trichloroacetic acid
- Vinyl chloride
- Zirconium-containing complexes in aerosol cosmetic products

Please also keep in mind that TuttiReal prohibits prescription medications, pharmaceuticals, and certain types of medical drug claims. This means that we prohibit items which are intended for the treatment or prevention of an illness or a health condition, or affecting the structure or function of the body.
