Clothing and products made for children have many specific safety standards and legal requirements that vary around the world. TuttiReal cannot advise on how to comply with the law. It is up to you to ensure that you comply with all local laws and regulations for the markets you serve.

Some types of items in the below categories are prohibited on TuttiReal because they are highly regulated items. It is also prohibited to sell patterns, designs, or instructions for making these items.

Face Masks

You may not sell face masks designed for or intended to be used by children under 2 years old.

Car Seats and Car Seat Accessories

TuttiReal prohibits car seats and safety seats for babies and young children. We also prohibit car seat accessories that function as restraints. This includes pillows and/or straps that restrain, rather than support, a child’s head or neck.

Cribs and Furniture for Infant Sleeping

TuttiReal prohibits all modern or vintage cribs, bassinets, and cradles. This includes cribs that are supported by freestanding legs, a stationary frame/stand, a wheeled base or a rocking base, as well as all elevated baskets and bassinets. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Moses baskets
  • Swings, sleepers, and rockers intended for sleeping
  • Cots and nests intended for babies and infants
  • Bassinets or bassinets on legs
  • Stands for bassinets/Moses baskets
  • Hanging baskets
  • Bedside cribs
  • Slatted cribs
  • Baby boxes
  • Inclined sleeping products

Infant Sleeping Accessories

TuttiReal prohibits certain infant sleeping accessories. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Crib bumpers
  • Crib rail covers extending over the side of the crib
  • Crib liners made out of non-mesh fabric
  • Pillows intended for babies/infants/newborns to sleep on

Strollers

TuttiReal prohibits strollers. This is inclusive of modern or vintage strollers. 

Children’s Loungewear and Sleepwear

TuttiReal prohibits loose-fitting, non-flame resistant sleepwear/loungewear for children sized from 9 months, up to size 14. 

Children’s loungewear and sleepwear made from flame-resistant materials such polyester, acrylic, etc., regardless of size or type of fit, are generally permitted on TuttiReal, as are tight-fitting sleepwear, regardless of size or materials.

Upper-body Outerwear with Drawstrings

TuttiReal prohibits upper-body outerwear containing drawstrings intended for children size/age 14 and under. This is inclusive of items such as hoodies, sweaters, jackets, raincoats, capes, and ponchos. Permitted alternatives to drawstrings include snaps, buttons, hook and loop fasteners, and elastic.

Small Parts and Choking Hazards

TuttiReal prohibits items intended for children under age 3 that present a choking hazard. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Items intended for children under age 3 with loose and/or unaffixed small parts. A small part is a part or piece that fits fully inside a cylinder which is 1.25” in diameter and ranges from 1–2.25” in depth. 
  • Oral use baby products that have been bejeweled or otherwise decorated with small materials that represent a choking risk, such as crystals, beads, and cabochons. 
  • Baby bottle propping devices, or devices that position feeding bottles so that babies can feed themselves while unattended.
  • Teething or teether items with small parts that are intended to go into/near a child’s mouth, including loose beads, nursing necklaces, rattles, and pacifier clips.

Children’s Jewelry

TuttiReal prohibits jewelry intended for children age 12 or younger which may pose a safety risk, including, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Necklaces that do not have breakaway clasps
  • Jewelry with magnets or magnetic stones. (Magnets that are not considered strong or high powered are permitted as part of a breakaway or safety clasp.)
  • Jewelry containing accessible coin or button batteries, such as LED/light up jewelry
  • Jewelry containing lead or other heavy metals

Baby Formula

TuttiReal prohibits baby and/or infant formula intended for consumption.
